Here comes another pinup done during my spare time. I decided to study various visual and process aspects in this work, such as making a cartoon from a photography and blocking some base tones and outline along with some interesting tones. I selected a photograph with some nice features and acting so I quickly started to stylize it.
Its been a long time since my last making of, so in this case I decided to document all the wips to make it easier for everyone who follows my work to understand. (its in my gallery)
I tried not to stick too much to the photograph regarding pose and characterization, so I used it most as a reference for tones and cloth detail. It was a relatively quick process from rough to outline and basic colors. I usually don't draw an outline for my paintings but I thought of trying a different kinda process.
I took my time with the painting, carefully selecting my tones and modifying as needed according to my goal. In the end I still gave an extra personal touch, after all the idea wasn't to be a strict reproduction.
It's the kind of painting I like to do from time to time. Its quite refreshing for the mind!
Rough done in Sketchbook Pro and painting done in Photoshop CS5 with a Wacom Cintiq 21UX.
